Any chance one of the wires somewhere got crushed or something during the swap?

that was my thinking ... had my mechanic trace out all the wires.
there was 1 crushed between the motor and the trans case, fixed that. same problem still.
we are still very confused

Hmm...
By chance, was there an upgraded alternator on the motor you got?
You done any testing to see what voltage you are hitting regularly?

Now, would there be a sensor on that circuit that would only be active if the car is in motion? (speed sensor or something?) and then that would cause it to blow? Just takin a shot in the dark..this is a weird ass problem.
The fact that you had 1 wire that was messed up makes me think there might be more...I'd check all of them again multiple times.
Also, get on webtech and find out where all the wiring goes to/from the ECU fuse and then trace it, if there's anything that's shorted it would cause it to blow.

i have him checking the sensor now for a short. he said that he did not think that would be it. due to the fact that if there was a problem it would not give a smooth sweep
