Thanks!!! I looked in my manual,the first cat is fed,the second cat is cal.,which is why cdn cars dont need them....I have never heard of roadside emission tests being done round here ,and my inspection sticker renewal is not a problem.,. what is the best way for me to quiet it down just a bit?,I know I should replace the muffler.(dude's car must have been a US.?).

Get a small glasspack. Will get rid of your raspiness problem too.
Glasspack it, I put on a 26 inch one and it knocked down the sound quite a bit. Also I've found that large tips, believe it or not, make a humongous difference in sound, more than I thought. I had a 4" tip on there, whacked it off, and used a 2.5" to 2" connector, then put the stock tip back on. Made a hella difference, not as much as putting the glasspack on, but still quieter.
