have you tried unplugging the switch and trying your blinkers? i know without the switch my blinkers don't work, perhaps if yours do there's a short somewhere in the circuit. if they don't work i'd take that as meaning the switch could possibly be whats bad...and im sure pick and pull wouldn't ask much for a single switch... five bucks tops

Does this perhaps look like a bunch of wires coming into an adapter type thing, about an inch and a half or so long? cause if so, that's it.
Awhile back I noticed it hanging under my steering wheel, around above my clutch. It's not attatched to anything except the wires running into it,
never knew what it was though

It looks like 3 or so black boxes on a strip.

ok, so my dad and I are starting on replacing my engine tomororw, so while were doing this, I would like to see if I can figure out my hazard problem..I've already established, I believe, that the plug..black, with a bunch of wires running into the back, and the actual plug part looks like 3 seperate parts, well that is unplugged because it's hanging out under my dash. Can anyone get me some pictures quick so I know exactly what to look for? or at least give me a description? thanks much.

Damn 1 day too late. I was actually working on the ECU last night. Basically get on your back and look up towards the ecu (helps if you take out the seat). On top of the ECU or around it there should be a series (3) of black boxes on a frame that is bolted to the ecu. Those should be them.

You might get lucky and have iheart read this and have him take a pic since I know he's working on the wiring portion of his 5 speed swap right now.

If the turn signals work then the flasher in the relay box is working. Check fuse 4 in the driver's side kick panel fuse box. I looked at the circuit schematic and it would explain your problem (when the hazard switch turns on, the flasher unit gets power through fuse 4; normally it's powered through fuse 9).

If it's not evident which fuse is 4 or it's not marked as "hazards" or something just check all fuses in that box.

Always check the fuses first when there's an electrical problem, even if you think it doesn't make sense smile.gif
