Re: Redzmans Birthday - Dec 9th
The leak was on the IM Flange that connected to the engine. Therefore the engine was getting more air and less fuel. And of course colder air is denser air so it was not getting close to enough fuel.
As for gettting it fixed. I took it to a Toyota dealership (Don't ask) where we knew the owners and they took it off and got it planed down to sit flush again. I also needed to replace the gasket. I don't remember how far it was off, but it wasn't significant XX thousanths. Cost me about $250.00 or so. If you take your IM off yourself it'll cut that in half for sure. While doing lit you'll be able to see if it actually is an IM leak. Your gasket will be broken and you should be able to tell there was a warp in it.

Re: 97 & 99 Tiburon part out
The funny thing thats its doing is, its setting off my alarm.....
When i crank it the first time, none of the dash gauges turn on, (like a dead battery).
The second time the lights are really dimm, but not strong enought to start the car.
By the 3rd try they get brighter and the car cranks.
By the 4-5th time the car fires up
But my alarm goes off. Its like the battery was disconnected. But all my memory on the cd player are fine.
This happens sometimes

Re: Ugliest Tibs around
I may be sending you the wrong way then man. That is def an electical problem. As stated before get your starter checked. Is it still only doing it when it's cold out??

Re: Redzmans Birthday - Dec 9th
yeah, only when its cold........
im thinking maybe the wire from the battery to the starter could be bad,
Or the ground.
The car starts off as a dead battery, then it charges itself when the car is being cranked many times.
Only happens when the weather is cold or if i leave the door open for 10min.
