Haltech Ecu And Getting The Dash Taco To Work.
#1
i've printed the wiring diagrams from hyundai webtech and used the instructions from the forum.
but no good, my installer can't activate the taco on the dashboard.
the brown/white cable is not the cable that produces the taco signal.
Any other ideas guys.
my car is a hyundai 1997 tiburon, 1.8 litre engine
I haven't been able to get the TACO/rpm to work since I replaced the OEM hyundai with the haltech ecu.
I might install an apexi rsm meter and mount it on my dashboard instead.
And the original taco still diabled.

one thing i've learned with hyundai.. never trust wire colors, go with pin numbers
hyundai has a bad habit of changing color in the middle of each year

ive found that out too. they even switched the pin numbers on the tiburon from rd1 to rd2 on the gauge harnesses, but left the diagrams the same on the pcbs on the clusters. i made a big post on it somewhere a long time ago. it was frieking me out until i realized they messed up somewhere.
