Well, its been a while since I used my A/C, since it was depleted. Got it fixer'd up again, but when I turn it on, it has this kind of a mildewy smell for about 30-45 seconds. Anyone have some tips on how to clean up the A/C to remove this smell?

Thanks ^^

I have seen this caused before when the coolant became depleted for an amount of time and was then recharged. Really the only way to get rid of the smell is by running the AC a lot. It will eventually clear everything out (atleast it has for me in the past).

Yeah. Like the first day of summer that you need to use it it usually smells a bit too. Just let it run for awhile, eventually it will clear up.

They sell stuff like that here as well. I used to have a bottle but EVERYONE wanted to borrow it after they rode in my car and noticed I didn't have "The Stink".

To use it I believe you turn your AC on full blow then you spray this stuff down by the air intake which is in the passengers foot area. I believe you are also supposed to put it on vent and go outside and spray it in the intakes that are below the windshield. It tells you exactly where to spray on the bottle.

^^ But you need to ensure you spray it in the AC intake as well. Otherwise your not killing the mildew that is through the system.
