I recently had some strange electrical problems with my new tib. dealership fixed everything for me at no cost and upon receiving my car I realize that night that numbers on my gauges don't light up at night. only the needle for the gauges and the odometer are lit, but nothing else. Blown/missing dash bulb perhaps? or should I just head to a junkyard and buy a new set of gauges

Well The lights hadn't worked when i first got it so they didn't necessarily break them, i just think driving the 60 miles to fix a dash light is too much (bought car with my dad who lives upstate) so i'd rathr just get the part and DIY.

checked that as soon as i spotted the problem. I was planning on getting some reverse glo gauges, but reading around here i learned that those stopped selling 1-2 years ago =/

Speedhut makes EL gauge faces for us. We had a GB a while back on them. Should be available on their site.
Have you taken apart the gauges yet? For all you know it could be a couple of blown bulbs. So the needles on all of the gauges light up... But none of the gauges (RPM, Speedo, Fuel or Temp) light?
Are the needles supposed to be lit all the time, or only when the rest of the gauges are lit? If it's supposed to be on with the gauges, then something is wrong with the cluster or the bulbs are blown... Either way, it's fairly easy to check once you have the cluster taken out. If you look at the back of the cluster, it's pretty straight forward.

Yah, the needles are only supposed to be lit when interiors/headlights are on. those work fine, its just the speed, rpm, fuel, and temp faces that don't light. most likely a bulb, or maybe a relay isn't connected or something?
