I think all of you guys are wasting your money and being scammed by companies marketing of Premium fuel(i.e. V-power shell, BP Ultimate). I do my own engine tune up and i take care of my car
I use the cheapest fuel in town(crown, getty) and I get 30 MPG 70% city driving. Best I got was 32 MPG, worst i got was 28 mpg.
Oh yeah, i alwasy use walmart synthetic oil, walmart oil fitlers, walmart chemicals ..etc. Cheap brands are good.

Same here, I use synthetic oil, but my 01 runs MUCH better on lower grades of fuel. It's a fact guys, in Korea most of the HIGHEST grades are 87 or 89, these cars are made to run on the cheap stuff. They run better on it.

93-burned too slow (you know what i mean, dont want to be a tech freak right now...) 18-20c, and only maybe 25h
87-most power, ~18-22c, 30h, 35-40hc
89-most miles, ~25-30c, ~35h, hc? havent done any long trips yet...
this is in s.a. TX
my fuel tank still stops about 2 gal short... anyone know the solution?

this is actually a good question.
lets say i wait 30 or so miles after my gas light goes on to fill up (usually 40). when i go to the gas station, usually the most i can get into the tank is 12½-13 gallons of fuel. why have i NEVER gotten anywhere near 14½.
would the 14½ include everything already in the engine, and in the lines and all that good stuff??
and on topic:
i will only run regular gas. anything more expensive is a waste of very good money. my driving is usually 70% highway... i average about 330 miles a tank, filling up around 12-12½ gallons. thats about 26½ - 27½ MPG. my most is 29 mpg

Blah.. Ok so ive taken everyones advice on lower octane and my mileage is going to SHIT!! I dropped from 91 > 89.. Usually w/ half a tank, im around 160-180 miles.. Now im @ 140 w/ half a tank 02.gif Well see how it turns out in the end.. Normal driving for me, 12 miles highway, 12 city streets (45mph most of the way) to and from work.. ;/ Maybe ill try 87 after, see how it does..
