just remember.. octane ratings overseas are different from here in the US.. that 98 octane in OX is roughly comparable to our 93

That's OZ (as in Australia dude), and I thought that an octane rating was the same whatever part of the world you live in?

No, the US uses (R+M)/2. R=RON and M=MON. RON is Research Octane Number and MON is Motor Octane Number. (R+M)/2 is also known as AKI. AKI is much lower than RON. You Aussies (along with many other countries) use RON only. RON is usually 4-5 points above AKI. Just take 4 or 5 points off of RON to get what we Americans use for octane.

98 in Austrailia is approximately 93-94 AKI
93 in Austrailia is approximately 88-89 AKI
91 in Austrailia is approximately 86-87 AKI

Just kidding, All I said was that the US rates it's octane differently than Austrailia. Austrailian ratings are 4-5 octane points higher than US, for the exact same gas. If you would like a further in-depth description, I could do it, but not here, I can send you an e-mail.

Im @ about 20-22 mph intown and 30 on the highway @ 91 octane... Always ping w/ 89 and under gas (no matter the altitude)
