thanks everyone for the replies. after i get my alignment done today, ill be sure to take my car into the hyundai dealership to find out what the hell is wrong. oh and tiburononrice can you let me know what happens to your car??

Try changing your plugs too. I just changed my Iridiums to cheapo Champion Copper plugs and improved my gas mileage hugely. On the road trip I took after I changed my plugs, I did over 800 KM/500 Miles with fuel still left in the tank (my refill was 48 litres) - thats around 40 MPG! I couldn't believe it!
