Yea, I also have an AEM intake and 2.5" exhuast to help with fuel consuption while cruising.
Screwdriver, I wasnt trying to come at your uncle and I also realise that a lot of people dont see those numbers the EPA set for the Prius. Im just sayin that with hybrid cars they gas mileage you get is effect by the way drive far more than standard gasoline engines.
However your seeming to be losing this arguement here. Im thinking if your really getting low numbers like that, that maybe there's something wrong with your car, not everyone elses numbers.

Im in the same boat as screwdriver- I got 27 MPG on a trip, straight drive, all interstate, all cruise. Everyday driving I get like 17 or 18 MPGs. I still need to change my fuel filter, but I have done the other things like plugs and wires, oil change, air filter, oil filter (when i did the change of course), reset my ecu, ran multiple fuel system cleaners (STP, cheapy off brand, slick 50), and still no better, no worse. What kind of major issues could cause horrible gas mileage? I just bought the car in december, and its been like this since I bought, but i would love to fix it.
Also, my tibby is automatic, 64,000 miles on it.

I will admit that I do not do much in the way of city driving. The only time we have traffic jams down here is during the summer when all the tourists try and squeeze onto the barrier islands.. The Atlantic City Expressway can back up all the way to Philly.
Keep my speeds around 55.. I drove from my house to Hatteras North Carolina on three quarters of a tank of fuel. All told, when I added it up, I was into the mid 40s.
While "jackrabbit" starts do eat some gas... it is high speed cruising that causes us to get really bad miliage. Keep it at 70 or below and you should get decent figures. Once you hit 75, your MPG starts to really drop.

WOW!!! I have (roughly) 93,000miles on my tib. I'm sure you're all right in your own rights. I think that (for the most part) location and driving habits make big impacts on the overall gas milage. But, heck, I could be wrong. (wouldn't be the first time) Anyway, i figured that I'd wait till I hit 100,000 to do a full tune up. My mom did her tune up for her 98 sentra in parts; would this be a better idea than doing everything at once? Also, I'll edit the poll ow. Thanks for all the input guys.
Better yet, I'll make a new poll. Just for sh**s and grins.
