But he doesn't have to do that if he gets the DSM pump.

Find one of those and you'll be covered for any mild performance upgrades.

Not enough pressure when the car is turned off? Stay away from crack kids, this is what it does to you.

Anyway, what are the starting problems you are having? Is it in a different thread somewhere?

and i quote "checked operation, hooked up fuel pressure tester. checked pressure. pressures are within specs but when engine is stopped, fuel pressure drops off. clamped fuel return line and retested, still drops indicating faulty fuel pimp check valve."

FUEL PUMP OPERATING CHECK
Turn the ignition switch OFF.
Apply battery voltage to the fuel pump drive connector to check that the pump operates.

NOTE
The fuel pump is the in-tank type and its operating sound is hard to hear without removing the fuel tank cap.

Pinch the hose to check that fuel pressure is felt.

Thats straight from WebTech. My fuel pressure drops when I turn my car off. I mean duh it is electric as in no running when car off smile.gif . I am looking all through WebEtch troubleshooting and cannot find what this guy was doing?

You should have posted your symptoms here, rather than going somewhere that will try to rip you off. Most of the guys here could owned.gif a lot of mechanics/dealers at diagnosing problems.

Put a pressure gauge somewhere on the supply line. Make sure it's getting about 38psi or so when you crank it. Or you can just disconnect the hose and see if a ton of fuel comes out when you have someone crank it. Messy, but you'll know.
If so, then check for spark from the wires.
We'll go from there.
