I don't see them as being very functional, and they seem to be meant to do nothing except mimic the look of an intercooler.
Get a Cold Air Intake, AEM style, and it'll be plenty for ya

Yeah AEM seems like the way to go. Hopefully I can find a cheap actual AEM intake.
I just thought this was interesting.

if u wanna try some DIY shit, look at some rally tib's intakes, and modify ur own! all you would have to do is cut the stock whole for the intake bigger for better ducting from in front of the radiator...

Its an interfooler! Woohoo! You have found them. They work just like a CAI would, But with out something forcing air in from the other side it doesnt keep it as cold as the air in an intercooler. The only thing you might gain is disrespect from the turbo people running around with actual intercoolers.

just wondering if any of you guys have tried it? how can you knock something if you have not tried it. maybe this thing is better then the aem. i say if you want it then try it. who cares what the turbo guys think, i care about it being functional personally.

To whom wants to buy that I will laugh at you when a rabbit fly's right through it.
Oh, and I will also laugh at you when it rains and your filter gets soaked.

If I remember right those things have a plexiglass cover on the front to keep from getting water, dirt and rabbits from getting in the filter. Looks like it would do as good job of keeping air from getting in there as well. There's a reason why most folks stick with the AEM for our cars...
Plus I'd feel like a complete ass to have to explain to someone that my car isn't turbo'd.
