Ok, fellas...had my timing belt changed today....260$ later question remains...

It feels like my car lost part of the pickup it used to have... I thought that it was happenning due to old timing belt. Apparently, not.

What should i check next?

Airfilter was changed about a month ago.

fuel filter, plug wires and spark plugs, if you havent done the fuel filter yet, its a pita and should..... be changed every 60,000 miles. spark plugs might be old and or starting to foul out, and that could also cause a misfire and a lack of power due to running to rich, spark plug wires too, you can dmm them i think the spec is 10,000 ohms per foot.
thats what i would check at least.
or it could possibly be your clutch,

were you running rich ? was your timing messed up with the old belt, how many miles does you car have? what mods? do you have a cel? does your car feel like its slipping when you excelerate?
let me know mang.

car has 92.400 miles on it.

"mods" - just ICE

i don't think that i was running rich... but how do u check the timing and richness?

CEL is not active.. system tests fine.

bought car 3ish months ago...don't have any info on it.

if the timeing marks are off by one tooth you will lose power in a big way... i would look there to make sure that they Top Dead Centered it... from what you are sounding like that is what it is imo... also did yo reset your ecu after you did your timeing belt? ... warm her up go out to the highway disconnect the -on the batt wait 3 mins and while your are doing that push on the brakes, that way you drain all the power out of the system. connect batt and punch it and get on and off it for about 15 min... that way your ecu learns a better curve

yes tibs have a maf, did you by any chance happen to put in a k&n did you? the oil in those are bad for mass air flow sensors, they tend to stick to the hot wire in the maf and throw off readings, if you did look at the maf, if the silver wire is not silver anymore id check that , you can clean it out with some brake cleaner but i would just get a new one cause you might screw it up. check you plug connectors on your ect, maf, intake air temp too. i think if it were timing you would feel the loss of power all the time.
