Local shops are f***ing dumbasses. Ive had a few shops turn me down to having a straight pipe, no cats, etc. on my old car.. so I just had a friend do it

LOL..the guys at my local muffler shop are morons too. They'll say anything to get you to spend more money or anything to get out of a job they don't want to do.
Sad thing is there are people here who believe what they say.

Yup, my local shop is an absolute joke. I went in there explained my situation and they basically couldn't help me cause they couldn't find a layout of my car in their little book. My RD instincts took over and I mentioned that an accent exhaust would fit aswell (I saw a picture of an accent exhaust in the little book he had) This guy went on to tell me that if the CAT was in that spot he had to keep it there. And that I couldn't go any bigger I had to keep the stock size and all that BS. Waste of my time.

We're a hurtin' unit for exhausts right now. Tim (Speed-Factor) is making some which is cool, but that is all right now. ARK's don't fit right, SS Autochrome has fitment issues. WTF??

Evofusion = SharkRacing = Bad

Run a search for either company, the BBB or BBC or something suggests not to do business with them.

I appreciate all the help, so it looks likes my best bet will be going with a high flow cat, the 2.5 inch pipe,skip the resonator and go with a nice muffler. sounds good to me.

i also didnt see the catback exhaust for the 01 tib from apexi. do u have a site?

The Apexi was an import-only from Korea... the American companies don't carry it. I think Rick @ Real-Engineering sold all of them that he had, and they were $520 discounted... I don't know how crazy the normal price is.
