Default Re: Interior Painting... Need Help Please

Im getting an exhaust on my 2001 tib in a couple weeks... but im not familiar with exhaust upgrades WHAT SO EVER.

so far im getting a cat back exhaust, the palce im taking it to claims a dual exhaust system will not fit without other modifications.

will get HP from a NON stainless steel cat back exhaust system... or is stainless steel a must?

Default Exhaust Question

stainless steel is the smartest way to go, i believe. it makes the most sense

dual exhaust is pretty damn poinless on unboosted 4 cylinder engines. i would, as would most, recommend you not doing that.

to check out aftermarket ones, visit this thread here

SS is not a must. Probably the biggest advantage of SS is that it won't rust.
Another advantage is it will keep exhaust gases and their temperatures inside the tube more efficient, therefore increasing gas velocity, therefore eliminating back pressure, therefore making more power; but if you are getting a catback I assume that the piping will be bigger than stock piping, which pretty much should take good care of evil back pressure.

Regular mild steel is perfectly fine as long as it's mandrel bend.

yeah man check that link and see what we got going on. Try 2.5" piping that'll prolly be the best for your NA setup.

Hey, and welcome to RDTiburon.com! Enjoy!

Did you already buy an exhaust or are you going to get one? If not, you may want to wait a bit as there looks like there's gonna be more exhaust available for us in the near future.

No. 2.5 is fine even for a decently tuned Turbo pushing around 315HP.
