Hey guys, I got a problem to add to the rest of my problems. I'm doing my ecu swap at the moment and it seems to be stuck. I did a search, read strikes thread already but no avail. Its stuck were he said it would be in the corner of the plug on the drivers side. The rest is pretty much falling out but that much of the plug is stuck!!! Any suggestions?

you need to lift the metal clip thing up in order to unplug the connector from the ECU.

I can take it out in 5 sec. LOL

The metal clip thing that runs along closer to the wire, yes I know..almost ripped it off. Decided i'd go wash the car in the nice weather we are having and now it won't start, with my 2.0 in, must be loose.

Theres nothing else holding it in correct?

Yea, there is a clip holding it on the opposite side of the metal clip. IT's a pain to get out. (It's a plastic clip so be careful not to break it.

if you lift up the clip side all the way up as far as you can, the other side will come out.

Just do not pull that side at all until you lift the metal clip side all the way up. I would say it has to go almost 80 degrees clockwise direction from ECU.

Ehhh...

The ECU harness plug is held on by a metal lever, and a brass screw. Follow the direction the harness goes, and at the TIP of it, is a brass screw. Remove that screw (phillips). Then, pull the metal lever off, and push it down as far as it can go, till it feels like it'll bend. Then, pull the ECU harness plug off, from the top first, so the nose is still stuck in place. HYPEREXTEND the harness plug (pull it as far down as you can), and the plug will pop out of it's keyway.

Done.

no need to remove the little phillip screw, it's only there to keep the two parts of the harness together,
just lift the metal lever near the wires

Says you. Mine wouldn't come off at all until I took it out.
