Default Dif. between exhaust manifolds for 1.8 and 2.0 Betas

Looking at FIA homologation for Tiburon I see they use the 1.8 exhaust manifold instead of the 2.0 manifold. This 1.8 manifold looks much more like a header. We do not carry 1.8 Betas in Costa Rica so I cannot check this out! Any help? Any pics? If so anybody selling these 1.8 manifolds? No!! If you are thinking why doesnt this guy get headers instead? The reason is that for FIA Rally headers are not legal so we need to use the more efficient parts of the Beta family to be legal! I would appreciate some feedback on this issue.

It's not too clear what you're asking, I see about 3-4 thoughts oozing together in there.

One way people can really help out when asking questions, especially when english isn't their first language, is to put each 'thought' on a separate line.

Now, so far as I can tell--you're looking for a 1.8L stock exhaust header for a BETA, because they look more like real 4-2-1 headers than the small castings that come with the 2.0L. We saw one on here a week or so ago from Wolfie in Trinidad & Tobago I think, in this thread:
http://www.teamsr.org/UBB/ultimatebb.php?u...c;f=16;t=002472

Does it look like in those pics? I just noticed a couple days ago that it also looks like the exhaust diagrams on the Hyundai Parts Extranet site.

Poking around there, it only looks like it was available on the Revision A tiburons, and was supersceded after 97-08-16. Here are the pics from the parts site, the part numbers on the manifolds are the same, which may mean they don't make them anymore. In that case, you'd need to find them off an early-revision tib from a junkyard or something.

Yes that is the one I am looking for! Thanks for your help! I will try junkyards for them, unless some members have their old ones and want to sell them.

Sorry for my writing. I will be more careful in the future.
Thanks!

Sorry I forgot to explain further! The reason I need them is because real headers are not legal for FIA Group N rally racing. Hyundai homologated this exhaust manifold (header??) because it is a bit better than the new one. Every ft-lbs counts!!!

Mario, I can get that header brand new but its about $365 due to Hyundai's apparent need to overprice all their OEM parts.

Oddly, the 1.6 Beta's manifold is a 4-2-1 design too. I think that there is more to the 1.6 Beta than meets the eye... rolleyes.gif

Somehow I can't email you, so here goes:

Yes, the 1.6 Beta was sold in the Elantras here. As a matter of fact, it was the only engine available for my car. I don't know of the part no. of the exhaust manifold. It's probably the same as the 1.8 and the 2.0. I'm not sure it has the same head and port size for I've never seen a 1.8 nor a 2.0 Beta (yet). I cannot get them for you, sorry. Check this pic. Hope it helps.
