The system is pre-set to do that. The only efficient way to get rid of moisture on glass is to kick on the A/C compressor. This removes the moisture from the air, thereby blowing very dry air on your glass and defogs it. Every car I've ever owned works that way.

It's built that way.........nothing is wrong.I believe it gives you a drier air to help combat wet windows.you should have your heat all the way up if you have the defrost on..............the heat overpowers the cold air from the a/c.But,that's only what I think.Larrs
