It's cold here -13F or -25C, and I cant start the car. Starter cranks but engine do not wont to start. Sometimes I think I hear some attempts to fire.
My Ukrainian tongue.gif battery worked fine, I tried about 10 long attempts and it still can turn the engine.
Now I'm recharging the battery, just in case.
What should I do to start the car?

Don't they make some device that can preheat the motor so its easier to turn over or something? I dunno anything about it LOL, my car stays in my garage and it gets no colder than 40F or so so the water doesn't freeze.

yes they do such preheaters, but good preheater is about $600-800.
and it's not that often that temperature drops here to -13F. Maybe one day I'll buy such heater so even in summer I would start the hot engine tongue.gif

-25C = -77F... lmao.gif
that's cold
Here at school we leave our planes "plugged in" to a heat source. The engine are actually built with a 3 prong plug and all you have to do it plug your engine into this heat source like you were tapping your antenna at the drive-in's...
Keep the liquid temps down and makes for an overall easy start the next morning.
Dmitry can you park undercover or inside anywhere? Simply parking in an outside but underCOVER parking spot will increase your chances of starting again.

-25C is -13F as stated in the first post.
A block heater would be a good idea and should not cost anywhere near $600-$800.

Here in Norway most cars are delievered stock with a preheat device. I just plugg the car to power. Its now -27C. Snowing for 3 days, if I leave the car outside for more then 1/2 hour, there is 30Cm of snow on the roof. This sucks. Im leaving for Tenerife for 2 weeks now. When Im back im gonna have a hard time trying to find my car... laugh.gif
