iv came to the conclusion, that the clock issues we all have are related to some crap/loose/dedgy wiring, coz there are moments when isee the clock gaining power flashing/flickering (like a flurescent tube does when it first turns on) then it will either stay on, or it will turn off.
i want to remove the clock. to inspect the wires going in,
how do i do that? pry it out with a sharp object?

if no luck there i was thinking of maybe putting this over it:

it should still flow with the lines of the car, but nothing like oem IMO

Take the dash off to access the clock.

I've had no problems with my clock. Can you be more specific with the issues everyone's been having?

there's a DIY on how to pull the dash off, and it's also on WebTech. Unscrew a few screws, and then pull the dash away a little to mess with the clock.

Sounds like a loose wire. The clock will fade in slightly when you turn it on, and fades out when you turn it off. It's a variety of nixie tube. It's a very very well designed clock and somewhat of a centerpiece. I would never get rid of the clock.

I have considered it though. It may be nice to replace it with a few 7segment displays and have a custom message whenever you're driving.

I noticed that too!!

It flickers an awful lot, but seems to stay nice and bright when I increase the revs.... Was going to check if the soldering was suspect, but not sure (Yet..) that I want to go digging behind the dash to get at it..
