Cleaning Corrosion

I forget what it's called... You know that purple goop they put on your battery terminals??? That stuff will make a good connection AND prevent further corrosion. Any kind of electrical contact cleaner will leave your contact's bear metal exposed and however the origonal problem started, it will continue unless you've rectified it some how. Just get some of that purple $h1t and a toothpick.

i got some of the stuff at radioshack (10 freakin dollars for a small can!!!). i sprayed the plug and gave it a few minutes to dry. i drove the car for a day and nothing....then the needle started swinging around. woohoo, it works!! wrong, it worked for 10 minutes. i shut the car off and when i started it back up, nothing...until today. it started working today and has worked all day through multiple starts of the car. i think the plug needed more time to dry or something, and is working now. hopefully, this is the end of it!!! thanks guys
