CEL codes - troubleshoot
Well, I read the codes I was throwing out this morning,
P0141 - 02 sensor heater circuit malfunction - Down stream 02 heater.
P0136 - 02 sensor circuit malfuntion - down stream sensor
P0442 - Evap emmission control system small leakage detected.
Now I have a couple questions, what is a heater circuit and sensor circuit malfunction?...2nd which 02 sensor is the down stream. 3rd, P0442 is a exhaust leak before the 02 ?

first two, you prolly got a busted o2 sensor. its going to be the second one as you travel down the exhaust stream. i would replace it and see if it goes away. o2 sensors are pretty cheap.
third one,

np man. the oxygen sensors have a heater in them to heat up a type of element before your car's exhaust is able to, to prevent rough idling before your car warms up.
i probably shouldnt of said pretty cheap, moreso "not expensive"

Lucky of you.... here the 4 wire Bosch O2 Sensor cost $40.00....
If you have to change the O2 Sensor, choose the 4 wire O2 sensor...
the installation it's very very easy..... just buy one if you are not sure wich sensor is damage.... change 1 first and keep it... if it appear the error code, change the other one with the new that you bought and so.... if both of them give you the error code, you know that you have to buy another one....

well... are both 02 sensors the same?
so if you switch the one before the cat with the one after the cat it will give the same readings? or are each one made for that specific spot on the exhaust and read the a/f ratio different ways.

But If the 2 O2 sensor works differently, why they have the same error code???? or there is a different error code????
If so, It would be difficult to know which sensor is damage..... and making a mistake about the damage one, will be a hundred dollar mistake.....
