Cd Player Won't Play....
#1
When I got my 2000 Tibby, the radio was replaced within weeks because the cd player wouldn't play cd's. Now, 5 1/2 years later, it's doing it again. It spits them out with an 'err 6' or 'err 3' message on the display. The radio & cassette still work fine.
Anyone have this problem? Can it be fixed or is time to get a new radio?

the optical pickup of cd players are quite sensitive, then you add rough road driving to it, etc

^^Thanks for the offer, I've been looking at new radios, just dreading picking one out and changing it.

when I bought my car, there was a CD in CD player (2 DIN stock). It was playing normal, but any CD I put there didn't play. So I decided to clean it. I dissasemble CD player and with alcohol and cotton sticks (sticks that you clean your ears with) I cleaned a lense. After that all worked fine and still working (for 2 years now).
