^^^ No I have the same thing on my Tib, and I have a stock exhaust. I'm pretty sure it's just a resonator.

If that's OEM, they need to hire better welders in Korea.

No doubt the welds look like crap but the same thing is on my car minus the crummy welds lol

From your pictures you are correct. It does not look like you have a 2nd cat. You have a picture of a resonator there.

So I finally got the catalytic converter today since it had been out of stock, along with two new O2 sensors. I put everything in and am happy with the results. My acceleration is much better and the check engine light is finally off. However, I noticed some smoke coming up from the converter. It wasn't exhaust, and smelled different, like burning. Is that normal, to have smoke from a new catalytic converter/manifold? How long should it last? I know there is a sticker still on it that wouldn't come off, but would there be any other reason for that? Thanks

It's the residue from manufacturing burning off.
