Cat For Stock Exhaust
#11
Yes, I'll get pics tonight and post them.
Of course I forgot my camera yesterday.
I was very surprised on how easily it fit into place.
I didn't have to change any of the bends - I just had to cut and weld new hangers on the muffler.
It's a 2.5" with mandrel bends with a nice bassy tone - if I shoot some MOV's for sound from my camera, can anyone host them?
It sits really low, but only behind the tire, so speed bumps are no problem.
It goes under the control arm, as opposed to the stock routing above.
I just went and hit a bunch of speed bumps at lunch today to test it out and the pipe does not scrape.
I got lucky cuz my buddy just upgraded his exhaust and had the stocker just sitting in the corner of the garage.

Yah, that sounds about right to me.
Getting back to the original question, I'd still go with a 2.25" cat, if that's what the rest of the exhaust was going to be. I'm assuming stock exhaust manifold, stock flexpipe (2" for simplicity's sake) then have the exhaust shop attach the 2.25" cat and 2.25" exhaust. If a bonehead, amateur welder like me can do it, then a shop better be able to! lmao.gif
