Ok, this morning my car just wouldnt start. I slammed on the clutch and turned the key. Nothing. No start, no clicking, nothing. So i got a jump of sis' car and went to school. Come time to go home, it starts up fine. Later on that day, went to the convenience store and again, the car wouldnt start. I turn the key and it does nothing.

This could obviously be a simple dead battery, but im wondering about infamous elec. problems with Tibbys.

Please give any advice you can. smile.gif

Thanks

sounds like a dead battery to me... i guess you should rule that out before you try to fix something that might not be broken.

go to advance auto parts or some place like that and they should have a battery reader that will tell you if the battery is bad or not. I would assume it is the battery but who knows

I don't know what it is. But it aint the battery.
If it was it shouldn't do anything at all (I mean the second time he tried)

Don't know the english word, maybe it's (in dutch) the 'Start motor'
Goodluck man

if the radio and everything works then its not the battery.

if its not the battery and you hear no clicking, most likely its the starter.

i'm with miamitib and cdogtibby1.

at the very "least" you should go get the battery tested to rule it out. if it is the battery then replace it, because to me, it also sounds like the battery.
keep us informed.

Yep, it's the infamous electrical problem with the tiburon. If you look in your user's manual under controls and indicators, it explains all about the problem. It even explains how to perform a workaround. You see, when you get out of your vehical, you must rotate the switch to the off positon. Only then will you be able to walk out to your car and be sure it will start.
