Ok, so my tib is LOUD...like multiple tickets for being too loud LOUD.
I have headers, 2.5" Piping, No Cat [i know that will reduce noise when i get one on.] and a "tuner" muffler [aka grapefruit launcher]. I was wondering if anyone knew of a muffler that wasnt as openly loud as a tuner muffler...like a normal muffler so my car wont be so noisy but still have good performance. Also if anyone has a good street legal hi-flow cat manufacturer...that'd be great too. smile.gif

get a catco cat.. i would just get a cheap ebay muffler (grapefruit launcher) and leave the silencer in it..
do the cat FOR SURE, and get a silencer and that should be enough
that cat will help ALOT. i remember mine with the 'race cat' omfg.. can you say weedwacker..
have a cheap glasspack welded in there, that will help reduce alot of the noise, if the cat doesn't help enough.

Why bother getting a new muffler? Put a high flow cat on and see how it sounds. That'll help the environment too.
Then if it's still too loud (that usually does the job), then put a small resonator on.

Catco is good, so are the Magnaflow High Flows on ebay. You can get one for about 50 to 60 bucks.

Remove the cat and you ARE putting yourself at risk, not to mention the environment and others. Get a Catco cat. You'll have better sound, smoother power and a clean conscience.
