My truck actually runs like crap if I put 93 in it. I have to run 87 because the computer/engine was "supposedly" tuned by ford to run on 87. Who knows for sure?
I haven't really noticed any difference in gas companies with the tib, though.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (UltraTibby @ Jun 23 2005, 12:56 PM)</div><div class='quotemain'>$2.30ish for 93 octane at BP.
<div align='right'><{POST_SNAPBACK}></div></div>
That's cheap! I filled-up this morning for the equivalent of $3.64US/gal.
That's for BP Ultimate 98 octane though... But even Regular 91 over here is currently at $3.36US/gal. Premium 95 octane is $3.54US/gal.
The Premium/Ultimate fuels are said to increase power & improve responsiveness whilst having beneficial additives in them to keep the fuel system clean & help burn fuel more efficiently. For me, the jury is still out on the power increase but over the last few weeks, I've been getting <u>35mpg</u> with mainly city driving, against <u>31-32mpg</u> with regular 91 octane. The way I see it, so far it's paying for itself in mileage alone.
EDIT*: Sorry, I didn't convert the km into miles... It should be 22mpg on Ultimate & 20mpg on regular shhh.gif

Doesn't Australia use that different formula for finding octane? The 98 is probably equivalent to our 93 if it does.
Try buying higher octanes like 114 nowadays... something like $5.50 a gallon here now. No fun in the GSX for a while. 02.gif

^^^ yes, should be different way of octan measuring.
In Ukraine we have 95 octan (the most popular) and I think it is the same as US 92 octan.
98 our should be the same as 93 or 94 (don't know if there is such).
