I've been lurking around here from time to time still but haven't posted in almost a year! But when something happens to the tib, I know just who to ask 2thumbs.gif

Well to make a long story short, I live in northern Minnesota and it has been in single digits or below zero here for the last few days. I went out to move my car last night and remove some snow from the driveway, started up fine, put it in reverse and CRACK! The stupid plastic shifter housing that sits underneath the shifter itself broke at the pivot point where the flat piece moves when moving the shifter side to side. I am able to get it in gear with two hands... but that is just not fun. Does anyone have one laying around somewhere they could sell me? or where do I find a part like that?!

I never liked that plastic there, made for a lot of unnecessary shifter flex, especially when it had to be cut for some short throws. Needless to say, Hyundai didn't have Minnesotans in mind when they made that part 02.gif PLEASE HELP!

Edit: I left it alone last night, was a little angry at the thing. I'll post pics up later if it will help show what I'm talking about

Yeah check out the part out threads, short shifters all use the stock base, so it's only a part out that would have it.

Didn't even think of part out threads... I sent a couple PM's, fingers crossed!

Well I haven't received any response yet... anyone know where I could possibly order one of these things? I'm thinking my only option may be a Hyundai dealer.

damn thing...
