Hi....

What is the OEM bore size of a Throthle Body??? I'm talking about the 1.8/2.0 1G Tiburon TB....

I asked to the people of Sharkracing, they say that the have this BBTB at 58mm

http://www.sharkracing.com/acecart/bin/sho...&cate=010803000

I ask this because I meet a guy who is selling his Tiburon... And he told me that he can sell me the BBTB. It was bought two months ago, but he tolds me that is a BBTB at 56mm.... maybe he's wrong... could be??

I've never heard of a 56mm BBTB. How pointless, when you can bore out your stock BBTB to 58mm max.

I would not buy it from SharkRacing.. do a search, you will see why. KSpec has all the TBs you need. (if they are not sold out)

Yeah... besides it would be cheaper to have someone bore out your stock TB for you than to buy one from SR... or you can do it yourself if you have the tools. And yes, the stock size is 52mm.

I think Kspec is working on getting the GTR BBTB. I would ask Redz to see if it will be available any time soon, if so, I would wait for that one. I had it for over 2 years and was very pleased with it...very nice looking too.

1. How do you bore out your own TB
2. Ours is 52mm so expanding it leaves more air flow, correct?
3. In regards to the GTR BBTB, how is it better than a 58mm TB?

Edit:
4. "Size of the bore can be adjusted with rings that are included between 59mm and 61mm.", from Kspec
So our OEM TB can be bored out to a max of 58mm but you can buy that for better performance?

Uhm, we've talked about this before, I thought the OEM was 54MM? The SR one is 58MM, so is the GTR. The RSides come in an adjustable 59/61MM and a 70MM.

Didn't someone actually measure the OEM one in that last thread and confirm it was 54MM?
