well i just installed my ark short shifter. what a difference than stock! i can actually shift into 2nd at 6k without problems. when its in gear is it supposed to be a little sloppy? i can move it left and right a little. im pretty sure the rside is like that. its normal right?

Sloppiness has been covered before. Search and try to find it, I believe it has to do with the little white bushing and it coming loose, or something along those lines.

ok heres another question, does the sloppiness hurt anything? i can live with it, just as long as nothing is being hurt or damaged by it

as long as you aren't drag or autox'ing the slopiness shouldn't hurt anything.

If you are doing some form of motorsports, your times will hurt, but it shouldn't have any adverse effect on your tranny.

no real motorsports. just drag everyone once in a while when i can get to a track

I wouldn't worry about it too much.

There was a fix for it, but I have no clue where it is, may be in the install DIY, may be in engine and tranny forum.
