I got those APE performance shifter bushings into my tib today, and wow, combined with the Redline MT-90 gear oil exchange I did today, and the ARK performance short shifter, I'm in heaven.

This car shifts so smooth, no more grinding into 2nd near redline, or anywhere above 5K, and easy enough I can shift with 2 fingers.

If you guys haven't got them yet, I highly recommend the bushings, even with the OEM shifter. Takes about 5 minutes to swap them in and all you need is a screwdriver and a pair of needle nose pliars. Make sure you install them like Chris (Blacktibs) suggested, as going in the other way, they will bind, metal on metal.

Chris, can you make a special package for folks of the Ark Short Shifter and the APE bushings maybe? They should DEFINATELY go together.

As for the Redline, that is some NICE friggin gear oil. Only complaint with it is they use a different type of bottle than most gear oils so my nice fancy on/off funnel wouldn't fit the threads.

LOL

Anyways, right around 2.75 QTs did me in. I took it for a drive after the oil and before the bushings, and wow, it's really nice. Very smooth. I found a local place to get it for 9.99 a qt if anyone wants it, or there are several places that sell it online if you look up Redline's site, you can get a gallon shipped for about $42 to $44 dollars.

I'll get something together. Maybe even a package with Motul Oil or MT-90. I have about 8 of these in stock right now, or maybe 7? Everyone who's purchased freakin loves em.

You'd have to get the prices of each and add them together.

LOL

The bushings are like 32 or such plus s/h on Flyryde.com

The shifter you can get at Flyryde or at Ark's website, they posted a special RDTiburon.com price a bit ago, $129 or so I belive, plus s/h I think.

The oil you can get online, for a few bucks cheaper than locally, but you have to pay hazzardous shipping fees and it comes out equal to buying it locally or a bit more. Do some research at Redline's site and you will find local dealers.

The only Gear Oil Tiburon owners should use is Amsoil MTG 75w90 and Redline MT-90.. THAT'S IT.

Regular MTL 70W80 GL-4 Gear is what i have in my TRANNY and works like a charm. You dont need the MT-90 plus its a bit thicker than the MTL and sometimes its NOT always better..
The Regualr MTL 70W80 GL-4 Gear will do the job fing02.gif

^^^
I was going to bring that up. After reviewing a bottle of the MTL, it will work fine in there too.
