well i just got swifts old airram installed and when i went to close the hood my fg hood started to flex right before the first latch. im sure i could get it to close all the way but wont force it in fear of cracking it.
has anyone else ever had this problem? if so how did you fix it?
should i just put washers in between hood and the mounting points?
i appreciate the help,
alex

Wierd. See if you can notch it out under the hood where the IM sits. But it will probably hit under load so you may want to look into the engine dampener kit when it finally comes or better motor mounts.
Using washers may help a little and it would allow more heat out. Try to find something else though so it doesnt look like theres washers. Maybe get some delrin or nylon and make spacers.

i have a cf evo hood and airram, no problems. wonder if your hood brackets are low. check to see if you can put some washers in the brackets.
might be that the hood was manufactured differently and the bottom part is thicker than stock. my pennies go to that.

Not really. Theres probably like a bracket there for strength but it wont hurt anything really. Otherwise space it up but I would try for something other than washers.

sounds like the motor mount. but yeah you could put washers in between the hood and bracket and it wouldn't do anything. your hood might look a bit propped up but our hoods sit a little lower then the fenders anyways.
