Air Fuel Ratio Gauge Install

not sure if this is the right place to do it, but I dont know how to install the a/f ratio gauge that I just ordered. I dont really have the money to send it to a shop to have it done...is it hard? does someone have info on how to do it?? its a faze if thats any help.

It's not hard, you just have to tap into the wire from 1st o2 sensor as far as I know and run the wires to the gauge. Though, those cheap A/F gauges are pretty much usless and show only very small range of ratios.

What OP is right, but what he means is that you have a narrowband o2 sensor so the reading won't be correct. IF you get a wideband o2 sensor you'll get more accurate readings. That's all.
OP keep in mind it's the o2 sensor mostly, not the other way around.

ok it should be pretty straight forward then right? itl tell me which wire to tap into?? also, how do i use one of those wire taps...the clip lookin deals..sorry for the noobishness, in all the electrical work i've done, never used one of those...can someone explain?

^ You just need to expose a bit of the wire you want to tap into then attach the clip. Cover it with electrical tape to be safe. I'm pretty sure that's about all that needs to be done.

There's mixed feelings about those little babies. Be careful with them. Definitely tape them up to secure them, even grab some heat shrink for it as it will be exposed to the elements.

^ Heat shrink is like a plastic tube that shrinks when heat is applied to it (heat gun or even just a cigarette lighter for example). You place it over the exposed section of wire then heat it so that it seals that section tightly.
