You can do it the AEM cai comes with directions, read them and if they are too hard find a friend that can do it, if you change your oil you can do this, just read the directions. laugh.gif

Unfortunatly it looks like people who can turn a wrench are a dying breed. It is not that hard, easier than my CAI that required a hole cut into the inner fender to allow it to sit higher than the AEM CAIs

I installed the CAI today! I anticipated it to be a 2 1/2 hour job but I got it finished within a mere hour.=) I did an excellent job, too. I considered the double sided tape idea, but then I thought of even a better idea - velcro! I used a few strips of velcro that I bought at Staples and placed them over any places where the CAI and tranny and other engine components met. Not a bad idea, no rubbing whatsoever. The engine sound is better than expected! I almost cream myself; it sounds like a powerful 6-cylinder under the hood. Under hard throttle, I got so many looks from other drivers on the road. Performance is definitely somewhere within the 8-10 hp. As mentioned before, I redline much quicker than stock ever did, and hit the 60 notch faster than expected. AEM CAI was worth the $200 I paid.

Nice. Thank goodness I read up on the CAI rubbing on autos... in the middle of this huge parking lot, I went under the bumper and placed like 3 velcro strips.

Most definitely. CAI was a success and now either onto 4-2-1 headers, or some work on the suspension. Also thinking about the ARK catback, money is reeling in rather quick.
