Your paying someone to install an intake? Geez... LOL.
Gas mileage might improve a little, like 0.5mpg if you drive the same way you always do. Performance, you'll feel the difference... not a huge difference, but you can tell it has extra pull, especially midrange.
And it comes with a K&N... I clean mine every oil change, and its never really dirty. The filter's location keeps it clean.

Sadly, yes. I'm a newbie and I am not going to take any chances.tongue.gif
0.5 mpg isn't all that bad. Either way I will probably place the double-sided tape wherever the CAI may rub against the tranny. How should I go about placing this though?

I also put it by where the battery sits on, the doublesided tape sticks to the cai and to the corner of the tranny where it would touch, its really easy smile.gif

Its a "newbie" mod. Its not like your disassembling your engine, lol. There alot of threads on what to do also.

You can do it 2k, this is a simple mod that can be performed and will give you confidence to try harder tasks in the future. Why don't you give yourself a chance and, if you absolutely can't get it done yourself, then pay someone to do it for you. I have absolute confidence that you can do this on your own.

Hey 2k fill in your location in your profile. For a few bucks someone may do this for ya, or atleast show you how. They are probably charging you what close to $100 to install it?

^^ Probably. When I got mine it came with a book on how to install it, complete with pictures and all. Its really a simple task, took me no more than maybe 45 minutes to get it all done
