Good point. I see most of our cars peak at 6250 to 6500 RPM's.

I agree with Jon and Redz, I have been looking at the dyno sheets and 130 whp doesn't seem too bad at 4000 rpm, I also have the 270 degree cams which should give me a better top end too.

Hopefully I will get the results soon so this will be sorted.

130 hp @ 4000rpm = 130 * 5252 / 4000 = 170 ft*lbs torque (@4000rpm) which is pretty good, probably puts you in the 180-200whp range.

Then its ok. I didnt really think about the RPM and then was wondering why it only went that high. Now I see though

The guy was asking if that sounded normal with all the mods because he is having trouble tuning with the 42lbs injectors. I think I need to get the turbo box from denis to help make the tuning easier.

I hit 67 hp at 4000 rpm. 130hp is a remarkable result. It all depends if the tune is going to be just for peak power or for torque.

Maybe the guy tuning your car is measuring power in kW (Kilowatts) wink1.gif

Update......I have had to remove the 270 degree cams because the hydraulic lifters were not functioning properly due to the higer lift. But this has sorted the boost problems that I was getting because of the extra overlap of the cams.

So now with my standard cams and the alpine supercharger only pushing 6psi I am running 184 whp.....not the result I expected after spending over £3000 on the car for just the tuning and pistons.

The moral of the story is:

Tuning costs a fortune in the UK!!!
Alpine Superchargers are Crap!!!!!!
Don't use high lift cams with a supercharger unless they are designed by yourself!!!!!!
I Love My Hyundai Coupe!!!!!!!
