Well, there it is.
Keep in mind that I live in a place where it snows in the winter months, and of those months
I used my remote starter to warm the car up in the mornings so my ass wouldn't freeze!
That of course would bring the numbers dont quite a bit.

I havn't analized it too much just yet, so i'll leave that up to you guys if you wish smile.gif.

Enjoy

Is this mostly city driving? I'm trying to understand why your average mpg is on the low side in the summer months, with a 1.8 no less. I guess it's just the older engine.

That's interesting though. Man, you really take a hit in the winter.

Yeah, sorry, I meant to add that it was mostly "City" driving.
Damn right I take a serious hit in winter, ...kinda sucks.

You should ditch that remote starter. All that idling is killing your fuel economy (not to mention the environment). I live in Oakville, Ontario so drive in virtually identical conditions as you and do mostly city driving. In winter I usually get around 500 km on a tank of gas (48 to 50 litre fill up). In the better weather I easily get 600+ km per tank. My best ever is 801 km (basically all highway cruising).

I have a 2000 Tib with 5-speed so it should get a little better than yours though. I've got about 170,000 kms on mine. How many kms are on yours?

I monitor my fuel efficiency weekly and find that it is greatly dependent on car condition as well.

Changing my cat manifold and bearings shot my mileage up from 22.5 to 31 mpgs.

I now consistently get between 26 and 32 mpgs (I use a very good regimen of additives and have 50% highway 50% Rush hour bumper to bumper driving patterns)

Yeah i was surprised too, but Im not boosting much. When the car was messed up i got about 24 mpg. My fuel tank level thing got stuck and so I just kept driving until the dummy light came on. Had 326 miles on the odometer when I filled up and calculated everything and it came out to 29.6 mpg.

Thanks, I guess I got lucky.

When I first got my tib I think I did about 26-28 mpg.
