Hi guys,
I'm sorry to be so mean, but for all these questions, you can use our kSPec site's Q&A board. We cannot go around all the forums to answer questions. Any parts can be requested and found.
To quickly answer most of your questions,
Yes, Avante (Korean) = Elantra (US, UK)
Flywheel, yes they aer OEM modified, but we can also get aftermarket flywheels.
Yes, 1.8 pistons are for Higher compression.
Engines, they can be found and bought from Hyundai. But we are very very scared to ask the shipping price. eek! (possibly more than engine cost?) Many people just recommend ebay.
Wheeeeeew~ Did I miss any questions? You don't have to buy anything from our site. Use Q&A board and help each other. Teach us what we do not know about.
Enjoy driving and drive safely.

I have the 1.6 Beta engine. It has a smaller bore than the 1.8 but is has the same stroke as the 1.8. It has around 116 ps at 6000 rpm and has around 14 kgm at 3000 rpm. That's all about my engine that I remember right now.

Ok, there are two 1.6L DOHC engines that Hyundai sells. One is the 1.6L beta engine thats found mainly in Singapore and other areas in Asia and Europe. Lantraluvr is the one to ask about that one...
The other is the 1.6L Alpha motor thats so far only being used in North America (in the accent) and in Europe (in the 03+ tiburon as the base engine). Its the 3rd generation alpha motor, and is nearly identical to the 1.5L DOHC sold everywhere else in the LC accent. I'm not sure how Hyundai went about getting the extra .1L of displacement, but I'm gonna bet it was on the bore of the engine (just like they did with the beta).
