Will you drive less if gas hits $4/gallon?
They're saying gas will hit $4 a gallon by Memorial Day

If it hits that price or higher, will anyone drive much less to save on costs or still maintain their current driving habits?

I work about a mile and a half from home, so between the Tib, the Jeep, and the crotch rocket....gas prices dont matter to me since I dont have to fill up very often as it is.

I get almost 40mpg commuting in the Accent, so I don't really care enough that it'll effect my driving. For longer trips we will take the Accent more often than the Tib though.

It is to be hoped that if we hang out at $4/gallon for regular, the people would wise up and stop allowing environmentalist watermelons to stop us getting at the same oil other nations are drilling offshore and also go after our own proven reserves INCONUS.

I can't stand people talking about this stuff. These stories are designed to prime us for higher prices by getting us to expect it. If we quit talking about it, maybe more people will be enraged by artificially high prices rather than just shrugging and accepting it.
