rebuilt my master and slave cylinders to combat the clutch slipping so much. the master cylinder bore was chipped!? anyway, i had spares from my old X3. incidentally, you can do the slave cylinder mod on the LC and X3! After i put it all back together, the clutch felt totally different. Its light as hell, far lighter than stock. Pedal feel is much more precise, and it fixed the slipping problem entirely. Huzzah for free mods!
Now that thats all sorted, its time to mark up the harness and pull the engine out this afternoon. Yay

drove it to the mechanics to get it checked for that incredibly annoying hard start problems when warm (i did everything i could to solve it: changed starter, ignition coil, spark plug wires, CPK sensor, camshaft position sensor, sparkplugs). also had my knock sensor replaced.

Swapped out drivers side rear caliper, and put proper bolts in the shift base mount.
Found which wire needs to be clipped to select the 5-speed map in the ECU.
Threw a cigar in the glovebox for when I get her on the road.
