Default start up/idol problem

so when i go to start my car it usually takes about 8 sec of rollin it over, then usually it dies right away if i dont tap the gas a few times. took it to a diognostic, they said it was o2 sensor..didnt think thats what it was but they swore thats all it was. got new sensors but still does it. engine light is still on and really no idea what it is. would it be the throttle position sensor? any help would be good...thanks, jeremy.

Get your codes scanned. It may tell you a lot.

Sounds like you just don't fix your car. Fix it. You are done when the check engine light is off. Take it back and have it scanned again. The read buffer can only handle 3 codes. You can throw three on the u2 sensor alone. Keep at it.

Did you remove the negative terminal for a minute to reset the ECU? Do that and see if the CEL comes back on.

If the CEL is on, you have a code.

Only exception is if you have a short to the light itself somewhere.
