HP to FWHP conversion
I was curious to know if there is a conversion from flywheel horsepower to wheel horsepower? I've heard that stock 2.0L Tibs have ~100 FWHP...meaning about a 29% loss within the drivetrain.
Is it a standard conversion or does it depend on gear ratios, engines, and driving axle? thanks

Flywheel horsepower can be estimated from measured wheel horsepower but it is just a loose estimate. Usually 16-17% more than measured wheel horsepower is a good estimate for a manual transmission front wheel drive car.
Flywheel horsepower is always MORE than wheel horsepower, so a car with 100fwhp would be more like 85whp. A car with 100whp would be more like 117fwhp.
