They do not all have to Be the same make or model car. The folks from Fxtreme that got in on the original group buy, joined the group Buy from Team Si, We got them for $80 each.

somehow they can boost the HP or something by changing settings in the computer in the car using a laptop and some program.
does anyone know anything about this, or how it works or is done?
Thanks,

A while back WebTech had a TSB that instructed dealers to "flash" the chip inside the computer with new software. However, Hyundai has sinc eliminated the TSB listings from the online manual (can you blame them?) so I can't direct you to the source.
So, it could be done, but finding someone who has done the research and tooling to pull it off would be quite difficult.

Me want, anything that'll allow me to hook my car upto my computer will be bad ass. I already have a HMD in my car for watching dvd's on long trips. So this would be cooler!

put me on the list!
ps, where is the ECU in the 2k tibbies?

You are correct. It comes with a 6" cable and it connects to the data port which is either IN the kick pannel itself (with a hole cut) ,or it is at the bottom end of the kick panel (that's where it is on Yamaneko's Elantra).
The Same data cable/software so far as worked for everyhyundai I have run accross exept for 1 1997 Accent.
You guys should consider getting as many people as you can together from Fxtreme, Hyundaiperformance.com and ClubSi.com
We had 20+ people last time and the guy/company would not lower the price below $80 a unit.
