Hello, all.
Hey, all....
I'm brand new to this scene in every sense. I was never really into cars until I got my Tiburon about two months ago. I know very little about cars. I just joined TSR about two days ago, and I'm extremely impressed/excited with what is going on here. Anyways, to my point, I just wanted to say hello to all of you in here. Also, anyone know of a good place for me to research cars in general, with everything from driving tips (just started driving standard when I got the Tib) to engine mods? Anything would be helpful, i.e., a magazine, book, website, etc. Thanks, and take care!

Well welcome to the board. As far as engine and driving tips. I personally would only read things off this board or www.fxtreme.org . As far as mags and things most of those mags don't like tibbys or something I have only seen two in a mag. They are a bunch of honda lovers.

Hey, im pretty much in the same boat you are...new to just about everything. But i can say ive have learned a hell of a lot by just reading this board and checking some of the places out that people talk about. Here are some links for you to check out that have some good info. And just check around the board, read everything and you'll start to pick this stuff up quicker than you'd think.
Second im sure your asking yourself where to start Make your car look good or make your car go fast. I personally started out with some of the cheaper styling parts such as new bulbs for just about everything, new tailights, painted dash...you know whatever turns your proverbial engine...or whatever.
Next lets see if i remember the suggested way to go at modifying the engine. Start in the front and move to the back, I believe but dont quote me that Random would say Cold Air Intake, Bored Throttle body, Bored Polished Intake, Then move to the exhaust area. Correct me if im wrong please. And just have fun with it...I am my girls ready to leave me cause i spend more time with my car than i do with her.

If you want to know more about Racing...what kind? I'm assuming Drag Racing or Autocross, as those are the most common form of racing Tibbies do!
If you want to know more about Tibbies and Hyundai's, TeamSR, www.hyundaiPerformance.com and www.Fxtreme.org are the places to go.
If you want to know more about engines and how they work, and how to modify them properly, I can reccomend lots of books you can probably check out from your local library, or purchase for under $25 each.
