Default Have you ever regretted selling a car?

I thought about selling my Gen Coupe because I wanted something cheaper but I couldnt bring myself to do it. I love it too much. So I went out and got a part time job to work an extra 2 nights per week along with my full time job so that its easier to maintain and buy stuff for it.

I regret getting rid of a alittle 106 1.1 (French Hatchback)

I Brought the car for £200 and spent close to £6000 on upgrades. I was really in love with it.

It weighted 950KG and close to 280Bhp (Stock it had a 60Bhp 1.1) from a 1.8 Turbo engine. 320mm 6 Pot Disk Brakes that could stop u from 100Mph Faster then u could wet yourself.

Fun alittle car. It slowly turned to hate and after 20 Short miles i decided to destroy it. I cut the car up on my frout garden with a angle grinder.

Started like this

Then i made it like this

Then i killed it like that.

But i regret it. Just a emotional Time.

I only buy cars I like. There are always reasons for selling them, but I always want to be driving them again at some later date.

I miss my 1st car, 1987 Chevy Caprice Classic. It was pile of crap even at 8 years of age when I got it. No oil in the pan, AC blew searing Sahara sand, 350 V8 and 6-7mpg. But damnit, after some work it was a screaming monster of a car.... until a cratered the transmission. I don't regret the money I got for it which funded the first few years in my 944, but I miss the big beast. Funny part is it's still lumbering around my old town, I guess I should go buy it back some day.

On a somewhat related note:

I regret buying my brother his old car. 1986 Mazda RX7 gtu. Was building a bridgeported 20b but he fell asleep at the wheel do 70 in a 35 zone and totaled it. Then had the audacity to walk away unscathed.

He swore he was scared strait and wanted to buy something unique (this time with his money) so I helped him grey-market a 95 Toyota Levin (AE101) by using the VIN from a salvaged 95 Corolla.... in 95 they only produced 4 doors for the US market and the 101s were 2 door but the titling agent never even noticed the steering wheel was on the wrong side, let alone the number of doors. He t-boned someone while racing a damn civic.... and again walked away unscathed.

Yeah, I wish I had those 2 cars back.

Though with the FC I'm going to hunt down a 10th AE some day. no turbo + no LSD = No fun

I miss my old Isuzu I-Mark RS. Had it when I was 17 or 18 (I'm 33 now). I missed it so much I've spent the last 10 or so years looking for another Isuzu car......... guess what I found last week??? LOL!

91 Impulse RS. Turbo AWD. I pick it up on Saturday. It needs a clutch (I hope), I'll be storing it till spring, and hopefully have it on the road for summer.

regret sellin my wagon sometimes, mainly cuz it was a dependable vehicle that i built for herracheap

this is before i cut the springs and slammed it 3 inches lower

regret selling my 01 pathfinder, lost my job and had to, but dammit that car was fun and extremely reliable, never so much as a flat tire in 4 years of ownership

and dirty like a good b*tch should be

i want to my father to death for selling MY f*cking CAR YOU a**hole- 1972 monte carlo, viper blue, caddy white stripes (with pearl) and a white vinyl top

word of advice, if you add someone to the title to get cheaper insurance rates make sure the title says your name AND there name

if you put your name OR there name, they can sell it legally without your knowledge

not my car but you get the general idea, i only have a few Polaroids of it somewhere one of these days ill find em, scan em, and post it up

I should have never traded my tiburon. But I owed my dad money so i traded it in toward a company vehicle that he purchased for my use. Oh well.
