Default Fire Extinguisher?

Any of you have a fire extinguisher in your car? If so, where did you mount it? Sears had one for $10 with mounting bracket, so I got it, but I"m not sure where exactly to put it.

Thanks,

I have mine mounted right in the back of the hatch, in the little side area in front of the tailight. It's fits right in there nice and snug.

yeah. After watching two cars burn down in front of me (one = old POS Nissan or something, other = haul ass old-school 280Z sad.gif ) I will be investing in a fire extinguisher for my car when the new motor goes in.

The last thing I need is that 1400-degree turbo somehow catching something on fire, or my dumb ass not getting the fuel line tight and burning my car down after the motor swap smile.gif

Do yourself a favor...get a Halon Unit rather than a powder unit.

Cleaning up from a fire is one thing...cleaning up all that powder is another bitch all to itself.

If you cannot find Halon...get Foam. Water will at least wash it away when you are done, just say goodbye to your wax job! But if your baby is burning...Your wax job is the least of your worries!

LOL If I hadda NOS fire, the last thing I'd think about is my fire extinguisher. I'd probably invest in an ejection seat! Bwahahaha..I dunno long day.

Okay...I mounted mine on the front passenger roof support. I have mixed feelings about it. The fire extinguisher itself is pretty sweet...all white inside of an all white car, but with it being mounted in the place that it is...it looks pretty tacky. (In my opinion) It will look a lot better because I am getting a 3 gague pillar to go on the driver's side roof support, so it will kinda even it out. The other thing that's pretty cool is that since my side windows are reflective 5%, and my front is reflective 35% you can't really tell what it is...kinda looks like a nos bottle or something...keeps stupid ricey racers away from me...
