FAQ info.....
Well, i was reading the newly added FAQ in the headers section regarding headers...
" None of the headers that are currently available on the market will "bolt up" to North American spec stock exhaust systems."
Uh, well sorry guys but mine did. So let me tell you what i have so our FAQ can be a little more accurate. wink
1997 Hyundai Tiburon 1.8l 5-speed
-Bolted up Shark Racing 4-2-1 Stainless steel header.
* I did NOT need to extend O2 wires
* I did NOT need to add an additional bung
* The header came with a bung for the 1st O2 sensor
* *Absolutley NO modifications were necessary to use this header on my car
Now, my stock hardware had consisted of a tubular exhaust manifold (looks just like a header) w/ heat shield. No closed coupled, just the cat under the car near the rear of the motor. Down pipe with O2 bung to the Catylitic converter with the 2nd O2 sensor near the center of the car.
This set up is quite contrary to 2.0l setups as they have a cast iron exhaust manifold w/ heat sheild AND a close coupled cat. I don't know where the O2 sensor placements are on a 2.0l but evidently wire extension was NOT necessary on a 1.8l
Just thought i'd run this by you Tony.
