Default Entry level mods

What was the first mod you put on your car?
I haven't done anything with my `99 Tiburon and I'm wondering where to begin.

Any ideas?

Most people usually start with an intake. A cold air intake will give you a little more power.

If suspension and handling are your thing than you can put in some strut tower braces.

Both are easy to instal and fairly inexpensive.

I upgraded from a desert sand colored 2000 Accent to a cobalt blue 2001 Tiburon about a month ago. The first thing that I did to my tibby is put my Enkei RS6 wheels on it. Im not sure if this counts tho, cuz the wheels were off my Accent. The first few mods I did to my ride (that I actually bought exclusively for the Tiburon) all came about 2 weeks into ownership. I ordered custom plates (TEAM-SR), put on my Team-SR stickers, and dropped the remainder of my money on Infinity speakers, a Clarion Proaudio disc changer & head unit, Fosgate subs, and Lightning Audio Strike amp.

Now I'm pennyless and live in a cardboard box (It's corrugated tho- great insulation!). But at least I've got a sweet ride! wink.gif

Any suggestions on an inexpensive cold air intake?

And the ultimate question...is it worth it to modify an automatic? smile.gif

Everyone seems to cringe when they see that my Tiburon is an automatic.

It's up to you if you want to modify an automatic. A 5spd will be faster but you can always get more power out of the auto.
Talk to Batlord he has an Auto 99(I think) Tib and has been happy. He has put alot of mods in it and shows the car.
I think most people are happy with the CAI from K.O.R.E. motorsports and that is also the one Batty has.

I have an auto as well. Don't feel left out! smile.gif The first thing that I did to my car was put in my speaker system, that is a must! But it came from my old car so I don't know if that counts. I plan on putting in a cold air intake eventually, it has got to help a little.
